Shinagawa Refractories received a Certificate of Appreciation from Mr. Mike DeWine, the Governor of the State of Ohio in the US, for the company’s continuous investment in Ohio and for creating employment opportunities in the state.

  In 2006 the company established the affiliate Shinagawa Advanced Materials Americas, and the affiliate has been manufacturing mold powder in Mogadore, Ohio. In the Certificate of Appreciation, Mr. DeWine praised the company, stating “Shinagawa’s investments have contributed to strengthening the ties between Japan and the US.” In the Certificate, Mr. DeWine also mentioned how he is hoping for the continued success of the company’s business.

  During the week of March 13th, Ms. Mindy McLaughlin, Managing Director of Team NEO, who is in charge of attracting investments from overseas companies, and also other representatives of the Ohio State Government visited Japan and the headquarters of Shinagawa Refractories. The group of representatives handed the Certificate of Appreciation from Mr. DeWine to the company’s Managing Executive Officer Heiki Miki.
